RV Parks with Pickleball Courts: Where to Find Them (2026 Guide)

By the PickleCourt USA team · Published · Lists last checked October 17, 2026

The short answer

To find RV parks with pickleball courts, start with the three campground brands that publish their own court lists: Thousand Trails (campgrounds with courts, by state), Sun Outdoors (named resorts with courts), and KOA, which says more than 40 of its campgrounds have courts. To search beyond the chains, use the pickleball filters on Go Camping America and RVshare. Then confirm courts, hours, and equipment on the park’s own page or by phone before you book.

Pickleball has become one of the amenities campgrounds add most often. The Dyrt’s 2025 Camping Report, as reported by RVBusiness, found that 17% of private campgrounds that added an amenity in 2024 chose pickleball courts, nearly double the next most common addition, Wi-Fi (9.8%). That’s good news for players who travel, but it also means court lists go out of date quickly. Every park on this page came from a chain’s or a resort’s own page on the date above. We don’t rank them, we haven’t played every court, and none of these parks is a PickleCourt USA customer or partner. We build roll-out courts, so the last section is for park owners who want to add one.

Campground chains that list pickleball courts

Chains are the fastest place to start because each one keeps a single page of locations with courts. Each list only covers that brand’s own parks, and the lists overlap: some KOA-branded campgrounds also appear on the Thousand Trails list.

Thousand Trails

Thousand Trails’ pickleball page lists its campgrounds and resorts with courts, grouped by state. On the day we checked, the list covered Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Florida, Texas, California, and Arizona had the longest lists, which fits the snowbird and winter-Texan circuits. The page says guests can bring paddles or borrow the park’s equipment, and adds that equipment availability varies by location, so ask before you leave your paddles at home.

Sun Outdoors

Sun Outdoors’ pickleball page names resorts with courts, including Buttonwood Bay in Sebring, Florida; Jellystone Park Larkspur in Colorado; Palm Creek Resort & Residences in Casa Grande, Arizona; Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach in Conway, South Carolina; and Sun Retreats Gun Lake in Hopkins, Michigan. The listing labels matter: Buttonwood Bay and Palm Creek are marked 55+, while Jellystone Larkspur and Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach are marked all ages, and Gun Lake is marked seasonal. Sun also says many of its resorts offer lighted courts, competitive teams, and national tournaments, and it names Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore in Louisiana and Club Naples in Florida as examples.

KOA

KOA’s camping blog post KOA Campgrounds With Pickleball Courts (November 12, 2025) says more than 40 KOA campgrounds have courts onsite, with more being added every year. The list runs by state and province and includes Canadian locations in Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador. U.S. examples include Homer / Baycrest KOA Holiday in Alaska, Mystic KOA Holiday in Connecticut, Indianapolis KOA Holiday, Nashville KOA Resort, Salt Lake City KOA Holiday, and Virginia Beach KOA Holiday. Most KOA locations aren’t on the list, so don’t assume a KOA has a court just because it’s a KOA.

RV parks with pickleball courts by state

The table pulls parks from the official lists for the states that show up most across them, plus a Northeast group for travelers near New Jersey and New York. Every row links to the page that confirms it has a court. It’s a starting list, not a ranking, and it isn’t complete: Thousand Trails alone lists more parks in Florida and Texas than we show here.

A note on the “area” entries: KOA names some campgrounds by region (for example “Palm Springs / Joshua Tree”), so we’ve kept KOA’s wording rather than guess at a street address. Use the campground’s own KOA page for directions.

Pickleball-focused RV resorts

Some parks treat pickleball as a side amenity: one court near the pool, open when nobody else is on it. Others build the stay around it. If you’re a regular player looking for leagues, clinics, and enough courts for open play, these are the kinds of places the sources describe:

  • Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (El Mirage, Arizona, 55+). The resort’s pickleball club page says the private club inside the resort has 26 courts, 24 in the main complex and 2 by the pool and tennis courts, with organized play almost year-round, a training program from October 1 to March 31, and a pickleball pro offering clinics and lessons during the season. Its pickleball guide says the resort has hosted the statewide Kokopelli Pickleball Tournament for seven years.
  • Sun Outdoors resorts with lighted courts and teams. Sun says many of its resorts offer lighted courts, competitive teams, and national tournaments, naming Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore and Club Naples. Ask the resort which of those apply in the month you’re visiting.
  • Parks that loan equipment. In the RVBusiness article, RVC Outdoor Destinations’ president said the company installed courts at Pigeon Forge Landing RV Resort (Tennessee), Gulf Shores RV Resort (Alabama), and Sandusky RV Resort (Ohio), and provides the equipment at no cost to guests. He also described pickleball clinics and a tournament during an RV rally at Gulf Shores.

A pattern worth knowing: several of the most pickleball-heavy resorts on these lists are 55+ communities. That’s great if you qualify and a dead end if you don’t, so check the age label before you fall in love with a court count.

How to search for campgrounds with pickleball near you

The chain lists only cover their own brands. Most RV parks are independent, and you’ll find them through directories:

  • Go Camping America. Its pickleball activity page lists RV parks and campgrounds with pickleball across the U.S., with state pages (for example, Michigan) and a pickleball option in the directory’s activities filter.
  • RVshare campgrounds. RVshare’s Pickleball by Location pages break campground listings down by state and by city, which is handy when you already know the area you’re driving to.
  • The park’s own amenities page. Directory listings are written by the parks and can lag behind. A court that was resurfaced, removed, or turned into overflow parking won’t always be updated in a directory.
  • A phone call. Two minutes with the front desk answers the questions no listing does: how many courts, whether they’re lit, and when open play happens.

What to check before you book

These are our tips from building and placing courts, not survey data. They’re the questions that decide whether “has pickleball” means a good week of play or one crowded hour.

  • How many courts, and how many guests? One court at a several-hundred-site resort in peak snowbird season means waiting. Ask how busy open play gets in the weeks you’re booking.
  • Dedicated court or lines on a tennis court? Lines painted over a tennis court work, but the net height and runoff differ from a dedicated court. Ask which you’ll get.
  • Lights. In Arizona, Florida, and Texas, the best playing hours in shoulder season are early morning and after sunset. Unlit courts lose the evening.
  • Open-play schedule and reservations. Busy resort courts often run set open-play blocks, skill-level sessions, or a booking sheet. Find out before you arrive.
  • Paddles and balls. Some parks loan equipment, but Thousand Trails notes that availability varies by location. Pack your own if you play often.
  • Season and age rules. Seasonal parks close courts in winter, and 55+ resorts limit who can stay. Both labels are usually on the listing.
  • Surface. A permanent acrylic court, a sport-tile court, and a roll-out court on a clubhouse floor all play a little differently. All are fine for vacation play; just know what to expect.

Run an RV park without a court?

If you’re an owner, GM, or activities director reading this to see which parks near you list pickleball, the RVBusiness numbers above are the reason guests are searching for it. You don’t have to pour a slab to get on these lists. Many parks put a roll-out court on a hard surface they already have: a clubhouse or rec-hall floor, a pool-deck apron, or a paved overflow lot that sits empty outside holiday weekends. Our roll-out courts are regulation 20′×44′ cushioned multi-layer vinyl with lines printed at manufacture, and a typical single court installs in under 30 minutes on a ready surface, so the lot can go back to parking when a rally fills the park. Gravel and lawn need a level base first; that’s what the PixleDeck modular base is for.

RV parks with pickleball courts: FAQs

Which RV parks and campgrounds have pickleball courts?

Three big campground brands publish their own lists. Thousand Trails lists its campgrounds with courts by state, Sun Outdoors names resorts with courts on its pickleball page, and KOA says more than 40 of its campgrounds have courts and lists them by state. Go Camping America and RVshare also let you browse campgrounds by pickleball. Confirm on the park's own amenities page before you book.

Do KOA campgrounds have pickleball courts?

Some do. KOA's camping blog (November 12, 2025) says more than 40 KOA campgrounds have pickleball courts, with more added each year, and lists them by state and province, from Tucson KOA Resort and Mystic KOA Holiday to Galveston Island KOA Holiday. Most KOA locations aren't on that list, so check the specific campground before you plan around it.

What are the best RV resorts for pickleball players?

Nobody publishes a neutral ranking, so look for what serious players care about: court count, lights, organized play, and clinics. Pueblo El Mirage in Arizona says its club has 26 courts with a pro in season. Sun Outdoors says some of its resorts have lighted courts, competitive teams, and national tournaments. Confirm current details with each resort.

How can I search for campgrounds with pickleball near me?

Start with Go Camping America's pickleball activity pages, which list RV parks and campgrounds with pickleball nationwide and by state, and RVshare's Pickleball by Location pages, which break listings down by state and city. Then check the chain lists from Thousand Trails, Sun Outdoors, and KOA, and call the park to confirm courts, hours, and equipment.

Can an RV park add a pickleball court without building a permanent one?

Yes. Many parks put a roll-out court on a hard surface they already have, such as a clubhouse floor, a pool-deck apron, or a paved overflow lot. PickleCourt USA's courts are regulation 20′×44′ cushioned vinyl with pre-printed lines, and a typical single court installs in under 30 minutes. Gravel or lawn needs a level base first.
